Samsung held a press event to address the Galaxy Note 7 Smartphone batteries catching fire. One month after commissioning an independent independent panel consisting of UL, Exponent, TUV Rheinland AG, samsung found out that two manufacturers built the batteries that had design faults that were used in Galaxy Note 7 were manufactured. Battery A that came from first manufacturer was having Negative electrode deflections where as Battery B was having abnormal ultrasonic welding burrs in its positive electrodes that was build by second manufacturer.
The growing demand for big mAh capacity batteries with sinking thickness smartphones, had taken a toll on manufacturers to teak the battery designs to extreme thinness that are causing abnormal fire accidents that causing smartphone users burinig their hands, ears or even extreme cases we see people die because of the smartphone blasting off.
As you all may know by now that Samsung released Galaxy Note 7 on August 2016, after getting a positive reviews from across the world, it sold record number of phones. Three months latter due to potentially battery Faults, as the batteries been caught by fire several complaints & concern raised across the globe. By October Samsung finally recalled Galaxy Note 7 that costed $5.3 billion.
